no, anti trans speech *is* this. we're maybe 1.7% of the US, but according to them: we're running school curricula & tricking kids into surgeries they'll regret. trans women are in sports to erase "real" women; trans men destroy birthrates. we're hunting you in every bathroom. it's exactly this.
If I was going to let a creepy robot into my house, it would be to do the dishes and and laundry and rake leaves so I could spend MORE time with my kids and pet. I feel like the people who panic about birthrates and harangue the child-free have no idea at all why most people even have kids.
@nytimesworld: Online shopping malls report selling more prams for pet dogs in South Korea than for babies, as more families adopt dogs while the country’s birthrates remain the world’s lowest.
All these complaints about birthrates but it would cost a million dollars to have enough bedrooms for more than 2 kids (More if you need to house elderly parents or other relatives who need care 🤓)
I am *haunted* by the idea of #birthrates
For the millionth time, I'm pretty sure the key factor behind declining birthrates is people realizing they can choose to not have kids
Also Brookings wants us to “join the conversation on birth rates on exTwitter” and that is going to be a no from me.
if you are a normal person please do not under any circumstances use the hashtag #birthrates on X
Is the most cursed part "One benefit of remote work is that it allows parents to spend more time on childcare and housework" or "join the conversation on X using the hashtag #birthrates"
