I haven’t watched Lost season 6 since it aired, but I remember being disappointed and feeling like putting everyone together in the afterlife was a copout rather than some cathartic stroke of genius. But maybe I need to rewatch the show…

like idk that the creator necessarily set out to do a cathartic meditation on cruelty and inevitability. i think he just wanted to do gore. but i think the way that the film operates it gives me that kind of feeling

I like wandering around the woods alone with my thoughts as much as anyone, but having a few beers and screaming at athletes in a crowd is way more cathartic

It's a delightfully brutal and gory first-person experience, pretty much Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff" come to life. So cathartic.

Currently going through the post mortem for Rebots which launched a week and a half ago after about 6 years in production and it’s “cathartic” as one of my teammates put it. The best part is our next production is addressing a lot of the things that didn’t go well. My producer heart is warm.

I detest the Daily Mail but I wonder if working there could be absolutely brilliant for grumpy people like me. Faking outrage about the most anodyne issues must be quite cathartic?
