Yes and no. Let's say you make a prototype and put it out, and RNG happens with your luck striking out, and people LOVE it. YouTubers and Journalists will have a hard time covering your game. It's not that hard to make a press kit, but there are plenty of tools that work for you.

I know people might have been confused when I ended up covering the Avril Lavigne version of Breakaway instead of Kelly Clarkson's version. Kelly's version is more iconic, but I went with Avril's version because it was originally her song she wrote. It ended up becoming my biggest cover to date.
