October 21st. An unfinished/abandoned illustration that I made for The Woman in Black.

An illustration of two men on a horse & cart making their way across a causeway toward a large Victorian house on a small island at the end of the causeway. The causeway is wet and muddy with deep tracks and seaweed strewn across it. A moody sky with bursts of sunlight illuminating the roof of the house and the estuary surrounding the island. Black crosshatch pen with printmaking ink applied with a roller on white paper. Atmospheric.

Happy Sunday! Getting ready for an open house and found this sketch I did in high school. We didn't have any encouragement at home but mentors along the way for which I am grateful. #blackandwhiteart#ape#kidlitart#mentorship#inktober#art#illustration#nature

October 20th. Another of my unused (probably for the best) illustrations for The Woman in Black by Susan Hill.

An illustration of the woman in black in extreme close up. Her eyes and nose are central in the composition. Her eyes are full of hatred…and sadness. A black crosshatch pen and printmaking ink applied with a roller on white paper.

Art of an anthro mouse with purple hair, silver industrials in his ears, in a purple sleeveless hoodie, and purple/black striped skirt and arm warmers. The mous has a USB cord tail, a gear with the kanji "Love" tattood on the USB plug and his left bicep. He has a speech bubble with a purple heart in it.
Art of three anthros: two half wolf, half ferrets(wolfrets), and one mouse.

The left most wolfret has purple hair with white bangs, an eyepatch, and is wearing a black sleeveless vest and pants. He is holding a pink device with a clear adapter at the end and wearing a pink and neon green belt around his waist (Gamer Driver from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid)

The middle Wolfret has white hair with purple bangs, is wearing a sleeveless cropped top hoodie with the outline of a ferret head on one side of her chest, and a black and purple crosshatch design on the other. She is wearing black and purple striped arm warmers and skirt. She is holding a small battery shaped cylinder, and wearing a black and red belt with a handle on it (Build Driver from Kamen Rider Build).

The mouse on the right has purple hair, metal industrials in his ears, and glasses. He's wearing a purple sleeveless hoodie, and black and purple arm warmers, and black pants. He's holding a usb stick in one hand and a black, red, and silver belt (Doubledriver from Kamen Rider W)

The background is a crosshatch design of purple and black, with the words HENSHIN above the three characters.
The pic is of an anthro scorbunny with light green hair. He has purple pupil and black sclera. He's wearing a two tone blue shirt, and a black and purple and red belt bucklet (Buggle Driver from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid), and is holding up a device in his right hand.
Pic is of two anthros.

The left anthro is a wolf-ferret hybrid, dressed like Crimson Acid from the Paradise Killer video game (bright reddish pink open long sleeve shirt with gold bracelets, and red pants). She has white fur and hair with purple bangs, a necklace with a drill hanging off it, and tattoos crossing over the center of her chest.

The right anthro is a Maned Wolf + Red Panda hybrid, dressed as Doctor Doom Jazz from Paradise Killer (long white open lab coat, black pants with an ankh belt buckle, ferret skull pauldrons, a black tanktop, and a stethescope). She has purple fur with darker purple bands on her tail, white ears, and dark purple hair and muzzle tip. She also has white eye markings like a red panda.

The background is a synth wave of palm trees and a striped background sky and sun.

Honestly, same, I rarely call it a doodle though, because I'm tired of people getting triggered by it ... But I rarely sketch/thumbnail out things first, sometimes I just want to crosshatch or practice color theory without going through the whole process back and forth.

October 19th. An illustration of the ‘Visitor’ from The Signalman written by Charles Dickens.

A black crosshatch pen and rolled printmaking ink illustration on white paper of a man out for a stroll in the countryside. The gentleman stands on a track that slopes downhill through farm fields. He is wearing a long coat, bowler hat, walking boots and he carries a walking stick. He gazes towards a puff of steam rising out of a secluded forested valley…a train track. He intends to explore. A grey and gloomy sky overhead. Atmospheric.

Have a pawsome Friday, friends! Please have some adorable toe tips preserved in Romano-Briton terracotta. From Vindolanda Roman Fort in Stanegate, UK.

A shard of Romano-Briton terracotta tile displayed in a museum case. It is scored in a crosshatch pattern and has two dog paw prints pressed into it.
A wall-mounted square Romano-Briton terracotta tile on display in a museum case. It is a deep umber and has six different imprints: three small deer hoofs, two dog paws, and the edge of a sandal.
A wall-mounted square Romano-Briton terracotta tile on display in a museum case. It is a very deep, almost milk chocolate color, with two imprints: a dog paw, and a hook like shape, most likely from an implement the maker would have used to test the readiness of the drying process.
A broken piece of Romano-Briton terracotta tile laying face up. It is a warm, sunny ochre and displays the five small toes and ball of the foot of a child’s step.
