I do like the Flagellent, but I've had a bad experience with them. Your party heals when the Flagellant is at Deaths Door, thus maximizing survival chance at the Door increases utility. 90% resist to death, and the second attack during a boss causes him to tip over. I lost my backup crew.
Can't use two of the same character in this one. That's what's nicer about it, they all have more personality. For now my best run was with Hellion, Flagellant, Jester and Plague Doctor. They haven't released Abomination yet, but I think he's coming out in the next DLC <3
Máthair (Somhairle's dad) wasn't much to write home about. He only lasted a few years before he whipped himself to death. I'm going to assume he became a flagellant after his son-in-law the King of Aquitaine revoked half his counties and one of his duchies.

Ha ha ha. I feel bad, but I use PD almost all the time. She has so much more utility than vestal, and she synergizes with flagellant, who I also love.
