Spent a long weekend exploring the UP of Michigan and fly fishing trout. Friday, we hiked four plus miles of river through national forest. So many fresh wolf tracks. Public lands are a treasure. #flyfishing

Ridley Creek, PA I recently learned that River Otters came back to this creek after 100 years of absence. They are nocturnal, so it is probably hard to see them if any, or maybe in winter, I might get to see some 🤔 #FlyFishing#Nature#Hiking#Walking#Wildlife#Photography#RiverOtter#Otter

The swift current flows through rocky terrain, surrounded by dense woods with green and yellow. The right bank is lined with sheet rocks, while the water maneuvers around the rugged rocky areas.

Cobbs Creek (Karakung), PA I haven't fished this creek in a while - just five minutes away 🤔 I never seen adults fishing here, but I think some people do fish downstream, closer to where the creek flows into Darby Creek 😉 #FlyFishing#Fishing#Nature#Hiking#Creek#Wildlife#Photography#Bridge

A narrow stream flows swiftly over rocky terrain, running under the bridge before feeding into a stream pool on the other side. The area is surrounded by vibrant green trees and dense bushes.

Mud Run, PA Thinking about where to go this weekend🤔 I have limited time, so, instead of making the longer drive to Mud Run, I think I will visit my usual creek - Darby Creek, less than 10 minutes away😊 If I am lucky, I might get to see a beaver😉 #FlyFishing#Nature#Hiking#Wildlife#Photography

Tannish water flows swiftly beneath a towering rock cliff on the creek bank, surrounded by vibrant green bushes and trees. Sunlight illuminates the water and highlights the rugged rock formation along the creek.

Yeah, same here. i didn't interact much with flyfishing twitter, except for maybe Stephen Sautner (FishOn_FishOff) and the few of my old flyfishing buds who were on there I'm still on the old email listserv (Flyfish@) that i joined in 1997 altho both it and i are much less active

Mastodon was a bit more active on #FlyFishing but I'm trying to post about it here while the handle is more inclined to work issues.
