Absolute shit-for-brains beltway groupthink going on here: going hard on immigration wins votes in Arizona/Georgia/Whatever in excess of whatever votes they're going to lose in California/NY/Illinois/etc. Incredibly short-sighted and damaging to any long-term attempt at humane immigration reform.

Every right wing book is identical, but it’s the left that do the groupthink thing

"NYT wants Trump to win" just bounces back and forth in the Bluesky echo chamber. NYT had the courage to be the first to call for Biden to step aside precisely because they appreciated the dire threat Trump poses. Bluesky is a great place overall, but don't succumb to the groupthink.

yes! And I always think it's wildly obvious when someone doesn't feel comfortable anyway, so what's the point trying to make everyone pivot to broadcast? Absurd groupthink

Researching tile places. Good grief, the groupthink! The names! Best of all, they are all clustered in the same retail park on the outskirts of town, their staff presumably squaring up in Sharks/Jets danceoffs after hours. Interior design gang culture: as cut-throat as it is fabulous.

Alt: A gif from the 60s musical movie West Side Story. A group of 7 young men are sitting in front of a chainlink fence looking moody and fierce. They are snapping the fingers of their hands in time to the music, getting ready to rumble in a dance-off. Fabulous.

1) children, esp young kids, are the people who are often most in dire need of abortions (although I think it's mostly because people forget) and 2) mental illness, even severe mental illness! is not in any way synonymous with cruelty, malevolence, hatred, or conformist groupthink, however bizarre

Safe spaces create bubbles of groupthink that are harmful to personal growth, and reinforces the attitude if you're not 100% with us you're 100% against us-- which is not at all how the real world works.

Yes, speaking up should be infectious! Groupthink... however... hierarchical - cultish stuff.
