At this point, heās just going through the motions. VP debate brought Jan6 front and center, Liz Chaney spoke of it today, and I donāt think Mr. Smithās ālittleā brief will fade away anytime soon.
Something tells me the reason why they choose to participate in Jan6 is that their lives were already failing apart for unrelated reasons.
Like, that's the thing. That's why they're out there saying they'd pardon Jan6-ers and Biden didn't "really" win 2020. It's not that they don't recognize it for what it is. It's that they *do* recognize it. The only bit they regret is that it wasn't successful.
Watching these rallies always makes me think that the talking points about Jan6 should still punch harder to make the point. The dispute between the MAGA-wing and Ds about Jan 6 is not, fundamentally, whether it was a violent attempt to overthrow the election. The dispute is who should've won it.
