I always wanted to be Robin Hood when I was a young Tom Boy in Kent. Much later my husband bought me a beautiful English bow with some arrows & I practised in our field watched by my son & pal. Sadly that’s 30 years ago now.

FWIW, I’ve shot a lot of different bows (compound, recurve, traditional longbow) and as long as draw length and strength are good, they’ve all been fun to shoot.
Today I told the lady at the Ren Faire archery range that the longbow technique we use has a sideways stance when she tried to correct Mina’s. Another cautioned me that I was using a heavy bow, so I asked what the weight was. It was 28 lbs. “That’s fine. My bow is 35,” I said, like an asshole.

The Avenger bomber is decent, and LEAGUES better than a Longbow from Confed. Faster, a bit lighter, bearing both Leech Lasers, and a pair of Stormfire cannons, heavy mass driver repeaters. It's still a bomber, but it's got personality this time.
