Today's hike was delayed a bit as we waited for a line of thunderstorms move through. We made a quick trip to Afton's State Park's north prairie, through the tall bluestem, while it was still cool and cloudy.

Hikers, two huskies and a human, walk down a trail mowed in a tall grass prairie towards the top of a low hill. Clouds of various shapes, dark round blobs and higher fluffy streaks, span the sky, dark underside and bright beyond where the morning sun hides.

Today we took a break from busywork to visit Pike Island, at the intersection of the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers, our first time since the floods of this summer. Here, we pause for a chance to cool off in the humid weather... #Huskies#Hiking

It's been a busy weekend with home projects, but we did take a pause for breakfast with the other husky family in our neighborhood, this time at our place. All the huskies have a wonderful time together, everyone playing rough, but not too rough. Here […] [Original post on mountains.social]

Three huskies romp in the shade of a river birch tree in a suburban back yard with tall fences to keep huskies contained. Zeena and Tonttu are paired up, leaping simultaneously and caught in the same pose as they launch towards a very fluffy, mostly black husky, Charlie.
Zeena, Tonttu and Charlie again, only this time Charlie is whirling around in a blur of black fluffy fur and legs. White husky Daisy can be seen walking in the background.
More of Zeena, Tonttu leaping at Charlie as he sprints across the scene, feathery white tail shining in the sun.
Last one of Charlie, Tonttu and Zeena. Charlie is whipping around, hips swinging towards the other two, with head and darting in an S-curve towards them as well. The other huskies appear somewhat defensive, backing up slightly on their hind legs.
