I've written for The Conversation before. It's a good outlet. They're looking for someone who's worked in Gaza to do a brief piece (800-100 words) on the role of aid there. Would love to have someone from the region do this. They require their writers to have a PhD or be working on one. Any ideas?
I've seen people saying academics should not write for The Conversation because they make a profit but don't pay their writers.
Important to note, though, that The Conversation doesn't pay their writers (correct?).
I would suggest Ilana Feldman and Sa’ed Atshan who have both done significant work on aid, refugees and humanitarianism in/around Palestine.
Some authors in this volume might be possibilities: i.e. Ahmed Tannira, Tariq Dana, Anas Iqtait, Sara Roy. link.springer.com/book/10.1007...
This book explores the political economy of Palestine through critical, interdisciplinary, and decolonial perspectives.
