My condolences
Scrivener replied to my email about AI. It's an unequivocal no to AI in their product. (Their point being: they won't, if an author wants to they can.) Please repost this. These guys are decent people and a pretty small company.
NaNo is basically asserting that disabled people don't have what it takes to create art when they trot out the lie that scorning AI is ableist. they're saying that disabled people can't make art, not *really,* that they don't have the ability to be creative or the skill to bring an idea to earth.
One passage in particular stood out to me. Meyer is talking to a successful German scientist who joined the Nazi party with reluctance and later managed to help several Jewish families escape. The latter would’ve been impossible if he hadn’t taken the party oath. Nonetheless, he regrets it. Why? 2/

Wird das bei euch nicht auf dem Standesamt gemacht wie hier? Bei mir hieß es letztes Jahr es kann höchstens ein paar Tage dauern bis es bei den Lohnsteuermerkmalen eingetragen ist, der Rest war direkt durch.
