The attacks on Starmer are ridiculous. He pays for a season ticket at Arsenal. He’s not safe to sit in his existing seat so they’ve offered him safe ones. A non story. Sue Gray. Misogynists pursuing a successful woman who is paid the going rate for the job. A non story. Pathetic.
“Misogynists” seems to = Simon Case. Vindictive swine.
I lurked on the other place for a while yesterday, the vitriol & hypocrisy was off the scale. Disingenuous reporting by the media not making clear the figures were from 2019-2024 and only included sitting MP's and originally reporting he was gifted a box not 2 seats. I posted this a good few times.
On Sue Gray I did also wonder if there is an element of snobbery alongside the misogyny as she's not part of the Oxbridge club, etc.
It’s doing my effing head in.
They're scraping a very deep barrel indeed! I suspect it will go deeper still...
My heart pumps vinegar for him.
I mainly agree. Compared to the last lot the donations (clothes stuff) is trivial but he is looking to raise the standard and so needs to exceed them. The SG stuff is a bit wild. Some sources want to be better paid. Form a queue!
The issue with Sue Gray is not the pay which is a non-story it's the fact that all these people are briefing against each other which raises questions about what's going on inside No. 10. With gifting it's not just the box. Gifting is all corruption whether legal or not.
What’s pathetic is people excusing Starmer being just as corrupt as the Tories. www.opendemocracy.net/en/labour-gi...
Quadrature’s donation is noteworthy not just for being Labour’s largest-ever, but for its timing ahead of election
