Todayā€™s the official release date for the paperback edition of Starter Villain. This bookā€™s done ridiculously well, as evidenced by the fact Iā€™m doing a book tour for the paperback release, and Iā€™m really proud of how this novel has made its way in the world. Hereā€™s to cats, dolphins and villainy!

The cover to Starter Villain, with a business cat on the cover.

Iā€™ve seen many people of various political persuasions say that theyā€™ve seen very little or no coverage of the devastation in Asheville. That may be so, but itā€™s not really an indictment of the media as much as itā€™s an indication that your media diet in particular is fucked.

PayPal is updating their ToS to let themselves give your data to merchants starting in November and they're certainly banking on people not knowing to opt out, SO to opt out before they start: go to Settings > Data & Privacy > Manage shared info > Personalized shopping, and toggle that shit off

Screenshot of PayPal's Terms of Service update, outlining their "personalized shopping" feature where they allow themselves the right to give info about you to other companies
