I don't think 7-9 are cinematic masterpieces by any means, but they are better than 1-3. If you can watch 1-3 today and think they're still good you have military grade nostalgia. We can still have fun with bad movies, though.

The first movie that I recall seeing in a theater is “Return of the Jedi” with my mother. I enjoy the first trilogy and some of the other movies, but it’s not my whole life. Those that make it a large part of their identity give fandom a bad name and won’t tolerate dissenting or nuanced opinions.
