These are the ones ive got. Original pair had something on the palm to add grip but these don't. Re phone, I've been using a LifeProof case (the 'SEE' version) which is good & adds grip. #BirdingGearwww.cotswoldoutdoor.com/p/icebreaker...

Pleasant birding with Dartford Warbler & Tree Pipits at Browndown, 5 raptor sp at Titchfield Haven (& missed 3 others!) + 7+ Sandwich Terns, lots of Chiffs, good movement of pipits etc #HantsBirds#LowCarbonBirding 🪶

Aye, it's compatible so the BTX might not need a plate? Before switching to new head I was using an Arca Swiss plate with it (& for STC added threadlocker to get round the lack of foot)

Ah, Will have a look over the weekend to check which mine are.

Another vote for the wool liner gloves! Have the touchscreen ones which kind of work with phones. Impressive even on their own. Used to find synthetic gloves didn't keep hands warm whereas these work well #BirdingGear

Look forward to learning more, and will try to contribute when I can

We’re nearly at £9,000 but this crowdfunder has started to lose steam after a lack of interest in the local press. With record rainfall and flooding across the U.K. there’s never been a better time for critical wetland and wet woodland creation. Please share! www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/reforestat...

...also has sea views and is higher than most of local patch. May have twitched a Bonxie from here when there wasn't time to get to seafront 😂 Could be handy for vis-mig and strangest sighting probs Spotted Redshank (2021)! Not so exciting this week with 1 Wheatear & 10+ Chiffs #HantsBirds 🪶

Sotted Redshank west flying over Great Posbrook Farm, probably following a hedge or something towards Hook with Warsash. Photo from 2021

On 24/9 I was pleased to see Great Posbrook Farm reopened after months of Southern Water work. 1st visited for Solent Wader & Brent Goose check (Golden Plover), then saw that patch of scrub! 😍 Wryneck (2021) best + most Wheatear & spring Whinchats I've had locally #HantsBirds

Arable field with grass / geeeb crop in the foreground and a large patch of scrub and trees in the distance. It is overcast
Entrance to Great Posbrook Farm. There are black and yellow bollards blocking access to vehicles and a red sign with "no parking". Entrance is between a house and hedge. There is grey boarding hiding a large pipe

Yep! The only better bit I've found so far is the shared path that starts at Titchfield Road via the bypass & connect to Stokes Bay. Can be busy / awkward what with it being 'shared' but at least it links up!
