if you log in on web you get š rather than š¦ at the top of the screen, which sorts you out.
me, fwiw. it was matrixās proposal for bluesky to avoid having to create a new protocol like atproto.
fwiw we kinda have this concept in Matrix, called extensible events: www.artificialworlds.net/blog/2022/03...
yes, we are, and just as normal Matrix has PFS by default but can share history in retrospect (obviously breaking PFS) so can MLS. arewemlsyet.com
š¤Ø there may be some underestimation here of how hard a decentralised E2EE msging protocol is. would be good to collaborate rather than duplicate :)
yup, sounds about right. and is a ~3 person project.
the fun bit of p2p matrix is that it uses normal matrix clients and client server API, which is super rich. and it uses normal server to server API tooā¦ just over a p2p overlay. wish we could work on it atm.
unfortunately itās blocked on funding currently :|
so yes, warm fuzzy feeling for lots of people using the protocol & tech, hooray. but on the other hand, you end up writing stuff like matrix.org/blog/2024/04... :D
