I love old satellite images. In 1984, Aviation Week published a LANDSAT image showing a Soviet SSBN practicing how to break through ice prior to launching its missiles. I thought it would be neat to download the original image and process it with modern software.

Ah, the 80s, when Landsat was juuust spotty enough in coverage to miss some other really interesting events
