Lotioning up my Danger Room tattoo for some preliminary thoughts on the pagers detonation. Please note this was written & put into production right before this latest reported follow-on attack.
Preliminary thoughts on Israel's mass detonation of pagers in Lebanon. Now we have a different angle to understand the assertion that supply-chain vulnerabilities are national security concerns
Two things: 1) Israel did not time the detonations to gain specific military advantage or to minimize civilian harm. They were just afraid they'd lose the capability---their "investment." 2) They had direct access to Hezbollah comms. But they preferred to blow off a bunch of hands.
I admit that was a weird way to put this. It started out as “putting on my Danger Room hat” but I don’t have a Danger Room hat and that somehow seemed important but I do have a Danger Room tattoo and now this explanation no one asked for is making everything worse
bit weird that you're accepting Hezbollah's assertion that it was Israel without question. Israel hasn't admitted anything and also lacks far-eastern supply chain assets. I'm not saying it wasn't, I'm just a bit bemused at the blanket assumption.
