Planning permission for the Cumbria coal mine has been quashed. I've been working on this for 5 years - 5 years of disbelief that our laws would allow new coal, & that claims of a 'net zero coal mine' could be made. It shouldn't have been so hard. cornerstonebarristers.com/cumbria-coal...

I was so pleased to see this on the news, and that you got interviewed!
Huge congratulations to you & colleagues!
Congratulations on your hard-won success!
Thank you so much for your hard work in ensuring this didn't go ahead. Hopefully your work has set a precedent that means no has to fight coal mine planning applications again
Brilliant news! Thank you for all that you do!
Excellent news, the 'net zero coal mine' claim was utterly ludicrous.
It was a hard-won victory. Despite the legal judgement, I think Angela Rayner stepping away from it set the legal weather forecast. Well done to you and everyone else who fought this ludicrous scheme.
Hurry for this, for you, for Cumbria, and for the right decision being reached - though apparently after every wrong decision having been tried out first.
