Rebecca Solnitā€™s book ā€œA Paradise Built In Hellā€ should be required reading for everyone. Basically: people are generally good & in disaster situations self-organize effectively & often joyfully. Itā€™s when authority tries to ā€œrestore order,ā€ that shit goes off the rails.

Is it just me, or would Made OF Beer work better, here? That'd give the same vibe of simple / unfancy / "not craft" that I assume they're going for ā€” and Made FROM Beer seems worryingly close to saying "it's piss".

A Carlton Draught billboard in a grimy highway overpass. Bedside a glamour shot of a pint are the slogans "Long Live The Keg" and "Made From Beer".

Gods save me from people who claim (loudly) they know everything about beer when it's in fact just their personal opinions they're spouting.

Yeah Mike. The current young generation have been responsible for the global fmcg supply chain for the last 100 years. Probably wanna put their bloody pronouns on the bottles amirite

In just 4 weeks, we helped the team at Lion take their concept for a returnable beer bottle system from idea to reality, outselling regular bottles by 2:1 in the pilot programme.
Learn how our rapid innovation process is
Mike Ingles Wow, who would have ever thought of returning, washing and refilling beer, milk, fizzy drink or wine bottles, isn't this new generation just so creative next minute they will be using solar and wind power to dry washing out on the washing line

Just learned about the existence of Joe Spreadsheet, the beefcake 80s spreadsheet software mascot a la Mavis Beacon

A hunky dude with huge forearms and a mustache doing some paperwork. His name is Joe Spreadsheet, and this is his software.

Anyone want a 1963 Austrian PSA for their lock screen? It says, roughly, to drink beer moderately. Via Wien Bibliothek.
