I’ve spent a lot of time this past year thinking about how some people react to injustice from a place of “that should never have happened to ME” while other people react with “that should never have happened to ANYONE” and how much the future depends on moving as many people as possible from 1 to 2

Was thinking about this when listening to the podcast "The Retrievals"--the best person they interview makes basically that point about her experience.

I’ve known many people who say they’re 2s, but then rationalize their way back to 1. I’m at ~1.7, mostly because I believe people who do horrible things really should be released to go to review their lesson and go on to their next lifetime.

I often think - but why wouldn't it happen to me? Shit happens to people all the time. It's probably the thing that has helped me cope the most.

I've been thinking along those lines of how some ppl treat "never again" as never again to some vs never again to anyone. And how that affects the lens thru which we see war actions as justified or war crimes. I say never again to anyone, ftr.
