The absolute worst place to allow generative AI is in high schools, where students are supposed to be learning how to come up with their own ideas, organize their thoughts, write, draw and express themselves. Policies like this are straight-up harmful.

NEW RULE: if you are going to *thank ChatGPT* in the acknowledgements of your book, then you have to put the acknowledgments at the beginning rather than the end.

Students finding ways to take short cuts on homework isn't new. What is new is departments of education seeing all this and saying, "wow, let's get teachers to short cut their planning and marking with AI too" so it reduces their workload, without addressing why teacher workload is so bad
