Halloween RPG prep to do list: 🔳 Decide on a story for either game 🔳 Decide on a setting for the D&D game 🔳 Pick monsters/characters for the D&D game 🔳 Create a threat scenario for the other game ✅ Create a fake flyer for the club the other game takes place in. Priorities!
Delighted that the new D&D rules make it possible to start with a pistol. Take the Artisan background to get the Crafter feat for a 20% discount, bringing the price down to 200GP. Then go Paladin or Ranger to have enough starting gold. Or Fighter if you also want clothes and some bullets.
Can't believe I've only just noticed this while flicking through the rulebook for Thirsty Sword Lesbians. I see what you did with that character name 🧐
Just, you know, apropos of nothing ... Thinking about an advantage narrative-focused RPGs have over rules-heavy stuff like D&D: There's less incentive to cheat. Failure is great if you're trying to tell a story. Not so much if you just want big numbers so cool things happen.
Got a chance to be a player for some D&D tonight. Broke out Kari, my 7' (if you include her heels and tiara) aasimar hexblade warlock who loves the Raven Queen and wields a big hammer. Her first move once the enemies revealed themselves was to glass someone. 10 out of 10. (art by @bi_tyrant on IG)
I went to see Thor: Ragnarok near the end of its run on a random Thursday afternoon (not sure why I wasn't working). I was the only one in the cinema and I just spent the whole film bouncing in delight.
A more pleasing realisation about the 2024 D&D rules: Sprite now being an option for a warlock familiar means you can play as a fairy and have a fucking Mini-Me 😅
Reading through the 2024 D&D rules and they've made a tiny change to Sneak Attack to align witha common misinterpretation and now it makes less sense. And it's such a small difference that house ruling it would just make you seem petty 😠
Was not expecting that when I checked a new follower's profile to confirm it was a spam bot, for its sole post to be Simpsons porn 😦
