It’s actually ridiculous that if you drive a car, taxpayer money is used to clear snow from the street, but if you walk - an activity with virtually no negative externalities - you have to rely on individual residents to clear snow from your path. Really tells you what cities value.

Honestly one of the things I really underestimated pre parenthood was the sheer amount of time & energy I’d expend on just trying to get my kids to eat foods they’ve *requested*

I just went on a whole craft planning journey to avoid plastic gold pirate coins in my set up for preschool trunk or treat. then remembered foil wrapped chocolate coins exist and probably way safer than hand crafted wax coins 🤦🏻‍♀️ Feels like I saved at least $100 and probably 6 hours of time

I actually like a bunch of their pumpkin seasonal stuff but agree that most of it doesn’t taste like pumpkin. The one exception of stuff I usually get is the pumpkin paneer samosas. The rest is like pleasant cinnamon/clove fall flavors.

She’s been my first real insight into how normal folks who live there deal with these.

My husband and I met for lunch near there recently and he and our friends made it to the restaurant. but I got caught behind a train here, he offered to order for me and I was like “but I might be stuck here forever!”
