anyone who reads an argument like "they wouldn't have killed all those civilians if X boogeyman enemy wasn't hiding behind them" and is convinced by that is a clown and deserves to be mocked.
i got a 69% on a paper that i thought deserved better. (69% is a fuck you grade; "this could've been a 70% but i'm making a point"). i asked the prof why, he said that my thesis & supporting evidence were both good but didn't match. sometimes a premise is faulty and no good writing will shore it up!

it really changed how i view people saying things like "don't feed the trolls" because it doesn't actually matter. block em! tell em to go to hell! get back up from friends! do what makes you feel safer and better, because it genuinely doesn't make a difference to them.
when i was doing my research on toxic and disruptive behaviour in games' social spaces, one thing that really struck me was that people who act up feel like they've won whether they get a reaction or not. the person being harassed is immaterial to the satisfaction they get.
