January 6th was an attempt to nullify an election and take over the country through violence - and that reality is deeply uncomfortable, which is why people don’t want to talk about it.
Another day of remembering that we all watched January 6 unfold on tv and yet he was allowed to run for president again.
I think we really neglect how close we were to having a mob publicly murder elected officials and because it didn’t happen, it’s easy to downplay how serious the day was. (I say this every time because it keeps being true)
