I live in Europe now and a 7$ bottle of wine is pretty good wine

I mean not just that, but most American rose, for instance, is just blends of random wines. The butteriness in white wine that's so in demand comes from overloading the brewing process with lactic acid or other chemicals, which is why the wine always tastes weird. And who knows what they put in beer

American alcohol is seriously a blend of random chemicals and sugars, the white wine especially. I'm sure the mass produced beer is much worse

We don't even have a functional pub culture like the Brits. We just get fucked up at Buffalo Wild Wings once a month and otherwise drink 20 light beers at home. There are chunks of the country where you can't even buy beer after like 9 PM
