Once again - Biden should be calling a special session of Congress for disaster relief immediately and pointing out that the GOP wants Florida to suffer if Mike Johnson says no. If he caves, you get relief and get to claim it, and if he says no, you get to blame him when shit goes wrong.
I've always said part of the relief-funds process when there's a Democratic President should be a ceremony/press conference where the President hands an oversized novelty check to all the local Republican officials
Part of Mike Johnson’s district was flattened by Hurricane Rita which is the storm the meteorologist are comparing Milton to. The other rep for that area is Clay Higgins. They don’t care about anyone but themselves

Democrats simply refuse to perform any of the political performances even when completely justified. So afraid of being attacked for ‘politicizing’ a situation while the Republicans hold hearings on all the disaster money going to buy illegal immigrants new iPhones.
i don't believe the president has the power to bring back congress - only the leadership of congress. Public outcry, however, will force Johnson

He did say they should come back and do this, but that is all he can do. Johnson already said no.
This would just be the bully pulpit because the president doesn’t have the power to make Congress go into session, but it sounds like potentially a good idea.
