Further adventures in sock knitting. After things going disastrously wrong repeatedly, I gave up with the black yarn and had a go with this instead. It was much easier to see what was going on and fix mistakes as I made them. I hope when I knit the pair I won't have to fix as many mistakes!
Just over a week until I go on my holidays to Italy. I had a carbonara ready meal for tea tonight. So exciting to think that 9 days from now I'll be able to buy my pasta ready meals in an /Italian/ supermarket!!!
Is there any good reason in the world why single occupancy toilets should have gendered signs on the door? Why have one gents and one ladies when you could just have two TOILETS?
Ages ago, in the other place, I had an occasional thing where I'd post pictures of things that had the same scansion as the line 'superstar dj' from hey boy hey girl by the chemical brothers. It really isn't worth resurrecting here...
Knitting machine update: the knitmaster machine is currently dead because I wrestled it to the ground in a fit of rage* *broke a bit of plastic trying to detach and reattach the ribber

Knitting machine update: I can now make socks apparently. But oh boy, if you thought black yarn was hard going when hand knitting, it's a whole nother world of pain on the machine! When I inevitably dropped stitches, I couldn't see to fix it! Had to go so slow. (Still quicker than hand knitting)
US knitting patterns casually saying I need to use 'fingering yarn' but apparently it's not something rude it just means 4ply or something
So there's an e-commerce ad I heard which says their platform is suitable "whether you're selling succulents, stilettos, or anything in between" and I'm just trying to work out what the spectrum is that has succulents at one end and stilettos at the other...
