I would rather spend time with my parrot than get depressed about the fact that I will never own a house. gee whiz, I wonder why that is
how fuckin long do they think it takes to "check our finances"? like, oh wow my bank website and my fidelity 401k where I contribute only as much as I need to get maximum employer match, oh wow how time consuming! I sure do need to spend hours on this every day!!!
Is staring at the abysmal dread app supposed to make more money materialize? Because I don’t think they programmed that feature in for people born without generational wealth.
i am in a credit rebuilding/house buying phase now and i check my finances daily. i open the bookmark group with checking, savings, 401k (lmao), etrade (lol), 4 credit cards and 3 credit agencies. i am in and out in 60-90 seconds. Boomer skill issue imo
I don't need to check my banking app to know I'm broke. I remember frequently, with chest pains
how long do you need to look at your bank app to know how much money you have, what are they talking about
this presumes the dread situation of my finances ever leaves my mind, or is more complicated than "you have X dollars minus whatever dumb shit you buy today"
Also checking my bank account takes like, two minutes. To do a full “make sure every single recent transaction is legit” sweep. And then I’ve checked it, and that task is done, and it doesn’t have to be done *every day* to stay on top of stuff.
But also, why would you need to check your finances weekly? Seems a bit excessive unless you're a spend-crazy person. I check mine monthly to make sure I got paid (I get paid monthly) and to pay bills, nothing exciting going on in there.
it takes me like 3 minutes to check my finances, and I have like 5 separate accounts to check. What do they think, staring at the bank app for longer is gonna make more money appear in it
