A Czech friend of mine once played in an orchestra ‘conducted’ by Richard Dreyfus around the time of ‘Mr. Holland’s Opus’ for a charity show. After the show, my friend (perfectly fluent in English) went up to Dreyfus, pretending he couldn’t communicate well, and kept calling him ‘Mr. Opus.’
