Seems like a good thing for everything to be ā€œsmartā€ and compatible with variable voltage

You know my first thought when I saw their ā€˜AIā€™ convert a 3 liner party info? ā€œGreat, instead of reading 3 lines of information I as the recipient have to read a paragraph to get the same information.ā€ My SO immediately said, ā€œthatā€™s an SNL sketchā€, a guy sounds eloquent in text, then you meet him.

Iā€™m excited about satellite texting. Oh no, not from my iPhone. From competition in the space and Garmin (pretty good) solutions becoming cheaper. When you are sailing across Atlantic ā›µļø you need communication. Best of all 20 years from now weā€™ll just always text via satellite without batting an eye.

That makes more sense! If they did not retrofit after transferring from Virgin itā€™s probably from French company Thales. Modern (last 15y or so) outlets from us have a light (green/red), red light while mid flight results in bug reports. It happens, but usually because of some non standard situation

It would be more correct to say too much power draw in a seat group rather than whole aircraft. For USB a seat reboot will recover it (which is something a flight attendant can do but will reboot the group so they may refuse), in almost every way itā€™s no different than how a linux pc would behave.
