I don't know what will be possible. I think it's scary to think about a future where AI improves to a point that the future is uncertain. But it's clear that as of now these machines can't do a lot of what makes us human.
The current tech of LLMs and the like never will. Despite the hype and fancy math, it’s just a glorified “what comes next” machine. Something entirely different will be required to actually do what the tech bros are claiming. And I don’t think most people even want it.
