I was just lamenting that my midsize employer doesn't have a proper helpdesk or QA team. Product owners or end users submit bug tickets and they arrive verbatim to the dev team, often missing details. Having someone technical as the point of contact between devs and users for tickets helps lots.

Mint is good, and I used it on my path away from Windows. It's still based on Ubuntu and comes with Cinnamon out of the box. 👍

IIRC it has something to do with YouTube ads. They buy ad slots and provide that full trailer video as the ad. However, they're only guaranteed the first 5 seconds before you can skip the ad. So there's 5 frenetic seconds to get your attention before the proper trailer.

If you want to try other stuff, by all means. But if you just want your computer to work and not be weird (yet), regular LTS Ubuntu with Cinnamon installed will do that.
