My kid’s screen time is up and I’m feeling generous and want to give him another half hour to parcel out through the rest of the day? I have two options: increase his limit by half hour and hope I remember to bump it down again at the end of the day, or give him 15 minutes.

But the 15 minutes is *clock time*. So if I say yes and then he doesn’t play it in the next 15 minutes, it expires. No way to give him extra screen time unless again I up the limit entirely (most of the time I forget to set it back down for a couple of days).

One of screen time’s job is to sell iPads to parents who might otherwise be on the fence, and I’m worried that’s where the focus is
