Don’t know why I find this so pleasing, but I do. 😃

"The RISC OS Data Transfer Protocol is completely straightforward" <lies down for a bit>

Flowchart of messages leading to and disseminating from DataLoad... I'm sure there's others.

I'm doing some software archaeology on the newly released Elite source disks. The Apple II disks contain three versions of the game, all different to the released game. Here are the four title screens; see if you can spot all the differences... #appleII#elite#retrogaming#retrocomputing#8bit

The released version of Apple II Elite
The version of Apple II Elite that gets built by the source code on the source disk
The version of Apple II Elite in the CODE binaries on the source disk
The version of Apple II Elite in the ELT binaries on the source disk

I’ve been improving my RISC OS custom icon APIs, so I updated a few of the best custom icons. My favourite is R90, which not only does Bold, Italic, Underlining, Colours and Tabs (L/R, L/C/R and distributed layouts) – it now supports all NINE possible alignments. No other icon can do that! (no bits)

RISC OS icons of type R90 being rendered by a separate module via FilterManager. R90 applies bold and italic to the configured desktop font; supports WIMPSymbol; allows up to six colours; underlining; tabs; and now support nine different alignments within the bounding box.
