that album is awesome. "top of the pops" is a banger. the kinks are criminally underrated. they don't usually get mentioned in the company of the beatles or the stones, but their catalogue is not much less impressive. "village green preservation society" is an achievement.

Awww yeah it's Kinks O'Clock. I know we have fun at the Brits' expense here, but The Kinks were the one major British Invasion band who remained completely *British*, and I'm glad they did because it really is such a core part of their identity.
