I think men tend to talk more. Period.

Reminds me of Sacco et al. (2020), who found men are more likely than women to request clarification about questionable research practices during non-anonymous peer review, perhaps because they're more motived to "communicate scientific stewardship” to improve their status. doi.org/10.1177/1556...
