Exactly. Birthright citizenship is a good test in the sense that it's an extremely bright line between is and isn't. Eliminating that would basically put it up to the personal opinion of federal bureaucrats and judges. They'll call it something objective, but that's what it is.
Immigrants facing deportation have fewer rights than citizens, no lawyer provided and no right to a speedy trial. Immigrants right now have had their ID papers seized and destroyed. Have had conflicting or blatantly incorrect legal summons delivered.
My dad's family records were destroyed in a fire, so I literally have no idea where my dad's side of the family comes from beyond maybe 3 generations...

Both US-born and foreign students have constitutionally recognized rights to free speech.
And they will tell you to your face (and in their published jurisprudence) that they don't think the Bill of Rights applies to non-citizens. They are literally telling us they want to search, seize, imprison without trial, and torture. Take them at their word.
