The lying will continue until there are very real consequences for people who lie this brazenly. The only thing unique about Trump is that he taught Republicans you can lie like this and no one will stop you. That's his legacy.
I'm thinking about it since Trump and his lackeys keep griping about wanting a traditional masculine honor society, blood for blood, eye for an eye and all that, and in one of those societies, Mr. Salam would be allowed to do a lot more than just politely advocate people vote for Trump's opponent.

It seems to have become a recurring topic of conversation for me, but as a lapsed Catholic, I don't understand the millions of people in this country that practice Christianity, but believe violence is any way purgative or redemptive. Totally foreign to my experience with Christ's teachings.
If they hadn't bought the fatalism of the white nationalists saying they can't win when white people are a minority, they could've been competitive without suppression etc. But their base is too radicalized, and now they can't tack back to the center on the really unpopular stuff.
