"You don't have to be a good person today, just a writer" is fantastic advice to get past writers block. I'm gonna get it in tacky woodblock letters on my way wall like it's my "eat pray love"

Hah! This is exactly the reason I'm hesitant on them - too easy to fuck with on the local level. I really think we will need humans involved to a certain degree, it's just that those humans shouldn't be cops

I worry cameras are ripe for (a different kind of) abuse, but either way we need to take traffic enforcement away from the police. It doesn't make any sense and never has

man, i see a ton of thinkpieces about how young men are lost and don’t have mentors and become fucking psychopaths as a result, and, like, sure. but, also, these men are responsible for their choices. becoming a nihilistic neo-nazi is a choice, and it’s a choice made willingly.

This also extends to the theory that the press likes Trump and wants him to win. I don’t think it’s Trump, because the phenomenon predates him. I think it’s Republicans. I think Trump is treated as legitimate because he’s a Republican, and corporate media wants Republicans to win.

NBA logo review time! In 1937, the owner of a factory that built pistons for cars, trucks and trains allowed his workers to form an amateur basketball team. The Fort Wayne Zollner Pistons were so good, they went pro in 1941 and helped form the NBA in 1949. Their logo was a bizarre “piston”man.

Fort Wayne Pistons logo from 1941. A cartoon man made entirely out of pistons wearing basketball shoes and dribbling a basketball. The letter Z is on his chest for the Zollner Corporation.
