Question as former TriMet (Portland) bus driver: how does the QR code work? You scan a QR code on the fare box and it send you to a pay page? Is that ridiculously slow? Or you have previously purchased credits in your Transit app and then you scan QR to deduct?
Iāll be there along with Timur Ender. Rallying more
finally finished my taxes for the year and would like to remind everyone that it's fucked up you get a tax credit for buying an electric car but do not get a credit for not having a car at all
Sounds like a slew of code changes are needed to bring Airbnb compliance into the modern era.
Airbnb is resisting a Portland subpoena for listings data. The city, for now, continues to ask politely instead of issuing the thousands of dollars in daily fines authorized under its code. www.oregonlive.com/portland/202...
Unlicensed rentals are still a problem, and some mayoral candidates wonāt say what theyāll do about it.
Yep, yet again. But Iām not dead. A dozen Portland cyclists are dead just this year.
I aināt no engineer but moving the bike lane to curbside would be easy?

But other regions aren't suffering like we are. We can fix this. When I'm elected, I'll focus on reducing traffic deaths overall, no matter how you get around. I won't accept anything less.
During my time as a TriMet bus driver, I had a front-row seat to dangerous road design and irresponsible driving behaviors. I witnessed pedestrians get hit, close calls with cyclists, and numerous car-on-car crashes. There's no denying that our roads just are not safe.
This is the second time I've been hit by a car while riding my bike this year, on the same stretch of road. There's clearly a problem with the design of SE 7th, but the problem isn't just for bicyclists. 32% of this year's deaths are motorists, 35% are pedestrians.
