I like movies a lot. I worry about right-wing extremism. I play and sometimes write tabletop RPGs. I do SRE things but donā€™t speak for my employer here. I grew up in New England and live with my wife in Seattle. He/his. innocence.com/~durrell

When I was a kid, my parents used to spend their weekends hawking water saving devices at malls. (I donā€™t know the logistics of how this worked.) Iā€™d get them to give me like ten bucks and buy as many SF paperbacks as I could at Paperback Booksmith and while away the afternoon reading them.

This is the article that I'm psyched to share with y'all. The title has gone through a few revisions, but a more accurate one would be "Movies that show why being a teenage girl is Hell"

Jesus, Curtis Yarvin was a talk.bizarre denizen. @ennui.org, you have a couple of posts of his on your old archive, even. (In retrospect the bit about ā€œBecause I am an objective authority, this Index should be regarded as absoluteā€ seems less funny.)

NW: Iā€™m running out of PSH films I havenā€™t seen.

The original movie poster for Spike Leeā€™s 25th Hour. The bottom half is black, with the title of the movie in a typewriter-style typeface. The top half is a red field of color with Edward Norton walking a dog shoved all the way over to the right. Thereā€™s a line of text near the top: ā€œCan you change your entire life in a day?ā€

If you see this, quoteskeet with a famous landmark youā€™ve seen. Iā€™ve been to Cologne twice and Iā€™ve never felt like I captured the way the Cologne Cathedral dominates the city. Aerial photos show it better.
