Having your own terms & conditions doesn't matter; corporates override them with their own anyway. I just rage-read 2 fine-print pages of T&Cs for a new client that's all about my duties and my potential failures and nothing about theirs.
It may help to contact your embassy in Phnom Penh and let them know you're paying attention and they should apply pressure.

They were just starting to develop a concerning free-speech absolutist view. But the abuse I got for speaking up about why I was leaving gave me a pretty good view of where the platform was heading. No regrets, even though growth is slower (but higher quality) elsewhere. Happy on Ghost.
I quit Substack a couple years ago when I saw the platform take a very different turn from what cofounder Hamish sold me on in 2019. At the time my concern was platformization — Substack was putting its brand over ours as creators.
The abuse I received from far right Substack fanboys a couple years ago for being quoted in an article about my quite mild reasons for leaving substack (at the time to do with brand control and wanting software, not yet another platform) confirmed I made the right call. Quite happy with Ghost.
