The contract he signed back with the Reds had a team-option on it where the controlling team (now Arizona) could choose to keep him for a certain price. Probably a pretty steep price (I canāt remember the number, but heās been quite good and so itāll probably get picked up).
So I love this law. Basically, California spends billions replacing gas lines on a regular basis to make sure they arenāt leaking. The bill identifies neighborhoods up for replacement; if the neighborhood prefers, they will shut off the gas line and buy everyone free electric appliances instead.
š ā”š§µ Last week, California passed a law that lets whole neighborhoods electrify, shutting down gas pipelines that would otherwise need replacement. The law allows up to 30 pilot projects through 2030, requiring that 2/3 of affected property owners agree to get of gas. www.kqed.org/news/1200671...
The law will allow up to 30 neighborhoods to end gas utility service and swap out gas appliances for electric ones ā at no cost to residents.
Either way, I think they really need to add two position players who are slam dunks to be at least league-average. At least, if they want to actually be good.
Have to think the Sox would talk turkey on Luis Robert jr. itās not like heāll be around next time theyāre good. Seems like a good buy-low candidate, too.
I have a thing Iāve written with my opinions thatāll be up soon, but yeah. I love Santander. And also, oof, OF is really thin all across MLB right now. I also want them to sign Pete Alonso.
At his house in the woods, my retired steel-forger father just laughed and said, āWhat idiots,ā and he doesnāt exactly know why.
Listen, Joel, the internet told me Terry Francona got to make demands, so money is no object here. Candelario can keep the bench warm until someone gets hurt. (Heās gotta rebound some, but also, damn)
I forgot he has an option on his contract. That's less fun.
Like, I think, right now, Steer might be the best 3B on the team? And that feels awfully weird.
The more I think about it, the more I think bringing Geno back to Cincinnati would be both a good baseball move and fan-friendly. He actually hits enough to fill the role they wanted Candelario to fill last year. And heās a good 3B, which is a spot that has lots of questions for the Reds.
