We do not allow AI story submissions. We hire real human artists for all our covers and illustrations. All our contracts are clear that use of AI is strictly prohibited (and likewise that we as a publication are equally prohibited from using any work we publish for AI/LLM training purposes).

But if you want to play the game, the game is played in novels. Rather than resisting this, I think (and here I'm only speaking from my own experience) that the key for a short story writer to loving the novel and making it your own is to bring some of that anarchic energy to the longer form.
