why are there *so* many mastodon apps, but hardly any bluesky ones? is it all the extra stuff like labellers and feeds??
My guess is — №1: Mastodon has been around longer. №2: The Mastodon client-server API is better documented that the Bluesky API.

I knew only one (graySky) and afaik it has ceased development and bsky hired it's dev
i'm thinking that the default app and graysky work for most people, plus developing an app when Bluesky is evolving so fast is harder than for Mastodon which has been around for a while.
tbf mastodon has been around for a lot longer, bsky has only been around for like 1-2 years, which means less time for apps to show up
Bluesky really needs an app that feels more native. The official one feels very meh, too much custom ui.
maybe not enough iOS developers on bsky? it's a good time for you to learn and fork graysky :P
