why are there *so* many mastodon apps, but hardly any bluesky ones? is it all the extra stuff like labellers and feeds??
My guess is — №1: Mastodon has been around longer. №2: The Mastodon client-server API is better documented that the Bluesky API.
All things considered, I'm pretty OK with PLC retconned to Public Ledger of Credentials. I hope that by doing so, it's one less "it's not ready for everyone" argument, and the Bsky team and community can focus on shoring it up instead of quibbling over "placeholder" vibes.
