pessimisms of all kinds seem performatively self defeating to me in a peculiar way - it's not so much that I can't imagine being convinced of some version of "good things aren't possible (through the state / in general)", but I can't imagine doing theory about it

California is beginning to shift course. A new law signed last week makes some progress, but the gas utilities won 5 more years of delay. Any capable engineering firm could absolutely have pilot programs for zonal decarb up at the end of 2025, not 2030. www.smartcitiesdive.com/news/neighbo...
